Meet Quinten! Quinten is an adorable TINY 6# chi who came to MARS after his owner moved and could no longer care for him. He has the softest coat with adorable markings! He is a very loving little companion that loves sitting on your lap or just couch surfing. "Quinny" does well pottying outside on a schedule but due to his small size will need a potty pen, fenced yard or to be leashed at all times.
Quinten is a good sleeper at night in his kennel (but his choice) but has free roam the rest of the time at his foster home. He gets along well with the other dogs in the home - he tries to play with them (they don't play) and he is respectful of that - he would do well with dogs with similar dispositions or as an only pet. He likes bones but does not seem interested in toys but has a playful, funny disposition.
Quinten initially is kennel and stranger protective so he needs a patient family to work with him and give him a little time to adjust. He does have some "chi" behaviors so needs an owner or family that understands chis. He also needs a quiter home with no small children or a lot of new people coming and going. He is an amazing little guy that deserves a very special life!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
