EXTREMELY DOCILE AND SAD.... THIS GENTLE SENIOR NEEDS A LOVING FOSTER HOME IMMEDIATELY!

CAN YOU HELP?

Zeke's story is a sad one. He has been bounced from home to home all his life. He finally ended up at the home of a man who is now in jail for drugs. Zeke spent the coldest of winter days and nights chained outside with only a plastic pet carrier for shelter. Day after lonely day, this dog suffered in silence- with very little food or water.

IT'S TIME TO GIVE ZEKE A CHANCE TO ENJOY HIS GOLDEN YEARS... HE'S ALREADY SUFFERED ENOUGH!

This special boy is about 10 years old and when we found him- he was so sad.... like he had given up all hope of any kind of a decent life. He walked over to our volunteer and just hung his head. This dog has literally been betrayed by every single human he's ever crossed paths with!!

Now the chain that once shackled him has been removed and he has been swept into the safe arms of rescue. He is warm and fed and there is a glimmer of sparkle in his old, soulful eyes!!

Zeke is remarkably gentle hearted and calm. He would be a great catch for someone who's looking for a tender, loving, LOYAL companion to spend time with.
Zeke is fine with dogs, cats and well behaved kids over the age of 10 who are respectful of animals.

Zeke is very underweight at this time. With a nutritious diet and lots of love and kindness, we know he'll be on the road to a healthy weight in no time.

*** HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN YOUR HEART FOR SENIORS? ***
Zeke needs a temporary foster home; a soft place to land, while we work to find him a forever home. We provide the food and cover any medical costs. Foster care is extremely rewarding in so many ways.
If you can help, please fill out a foster application on our main web page.

You would be making such a difference in the life of this deserving boy!

Thank you!!!

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
