He has seen way to many places not become home! He is a great dog and does not deserve to be anything less then your champion for his future! His foster home had good intentions when taking Ziggy in but, because of circumstances beyond Ziggy's control they can no longer keep him! He is a great dog and this in no way has anything to do with him or anything he has done! He has done nothing but been a faithful loving companion for them and especially their 17 year old son! Can you see it in your heart to take care of this great dog? Sweet Older Guy Looking For The Missing Piece To His Puzzle! Ziggy is an absolute treasure! His vivacious, bright personality would win anybody over in an instant! Very social, outgoing and friendly, he wouldmake an EXCELLENT addition to a family with kids. He really thinks theyshould be big enough, or dog savvy enough, to not get knocked overaccidentally. He had some training while he was at his first house, and can predict what you are going to tell him to do, before you actually tell him! He isreally smart, if he could say so himself.
He really loves treats and toys! He does just about anything for them. He has just the right amount of energy for an active family and would make agreat companion on your walks, runs or rides. Oh and as a warming pillow! He did just write a note last night, or someone wrote his thoughts for him we would like to share with you now!
From Ziggy:
I wonder if anyone out there is reading about me? Its been so long since Iknew what it was like to be home? I have been staying with a wonderful family, in a wonderful house, but I just have this feeling its not my home forever! I think I have at least 4 maybe 5, someone even said it might be as many as 6 or 7 years left to hang out with my family! I know these humans here love me very much and care deeply about me but there is just something missing!? I think I know what it is though! YOU! If you are reading this its because you saw my face, and hopefully you saw in my eyes, and know they want to meet you! They would brighten your days and nights! Heck I would even be willing to warm up your feet when its like 20 below here in Minnesota! By the way, someone told me once I was a lab....not sure what that means for sure but they said it means I am very cool, calm and sweet to just about everyone I meet! I kinda laughed 'cause I like to play and run around and I am not sure that means I am calm all the time! Just maybe when its the right time to lay by your side I will know it and sneak a kiss in once in a while! Heck I might even let you hug me!? ;-) So yah, back to what I wanted to tell you....I miss you....I have been waiting so long for you to find me and let me meet you....I get kinda sad sometimes 'cause I am not sure you know where to look. Maybe I need a big neon sign outside this house? Wonder where a dog can get one of those?
*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.
*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
