FOSTER UPDATE:

Here is our current foster puppy Fennec! Super cute an soft hair. He's scheduled to be neutered on the 15th. He's available for adoption through www.midwestanimalrescue.org . Fennec idolizes Titus, follows him everywhere and is learning a l ot from him an Yien. He loves to play with squeaky toys an bask in the sun. He walks perfectly on an leash and is quiet in his kennel. He's still kind of shy around people walking up to him but is getting better everyday. If you are sitting on the couch, he'll jump up on you an lay right next to or on you!

Meet the sweet ittle Fennec. Fennec lived with a very cruel woman for most of his life that kept him outside since he was a little baby. He learned to live with other dogs but people were a little scary. He is now safe with MARS and has been learning what it is like to be loved by humans. He is so sweet your heart would just melt if you met him. He is working on the house training and needs someone that is consistant. He is being very good about going outside but you need to watch the little bugger. He has a heart of gold and wants so badly to find a forever home that will not keep him outside in the cold. He gets along with all animals he meets. He does very well in a crate and will need work walking on a leash and harness. He may be a little nervous around women but gets comfortable fast around guys. He just needs a soft voice and a gentle hand. He runs and runs with other dogs in the foster home so a home with other dogs will probably be best for Fennec.

Fennec is a prime example of what happens to many of these "prized dogs". Can you believe that Fennec's mom and dad are from Champion Lines but Fennec was dumped like garbage outside. Fennec has had a very sad beginning but he knows MARS has a much better life in store for him.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
